2018 Felsenberg Riesling Beerenauslese VDP Grosse.Lage, 375ml 1/2 btts, 7.5% Vol.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               In the village of Schlossbockelheim, Crusius own the VDP Grosse.Lage Felsenberg a renowned site that produces outstanding GG’s and also a small amount of high end Beerenauslese if the grapes are very ripe, a little dried by the sun and sometimes affected by a hint of botrytis.                     2018 allowed them to harvest a variety of noble sweet wines of which the Felsenberg Riesling Beerenauslese is an absolute highlight.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        On the palate the wine has notes of sun-ripened apricot combined with a soft minerality and subtle, elegant botrytis which transforms the wine into a magnificent example of what noble sweet German Rieslings should be!
