TILIA Estate was founded in 1996 in the Vipava valley in Slovenia by Matjaz Lamut with the sole intention of producing world class Pinot Noir. Hence the estate is known as the ‘House of Pinots’, for both his dedication to the grape and determination to take on the best in Burgundy. Whether he can is a matter of opinion but we think the wines we have purchased provide outstanding quality and value for money. We also liked his Sauvignon Blanc, a small allocation of which we were able to secure ahead of the 2018 vintage. The Nostra is an equal blend of Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. In 2020 we have shipped the Tilia Merlot which is an exceptional wine.
