2018 Iduna Verdejo, Barrel Fermented, Bodegas Vinaguarena, Toro.

2018 Iduna Verdejo, Barrel Fermented, Bodegas Vinaguarena, Toro: 75cl btt: 13.0% Vol.

Wine made with Verdejo grapes from centuries-old vineyards, acquired from local winegrowers who own vineyards between 100-120 years old, very close to us. A select, manual harvest is carried out in boxes of 15 kilos. Subsequently, a very soft pressing is carried out. The must, once cleaned by natural decanting, begins fermentation in 500-liter French barrels with native yeast typical of centuries-old vineyards to acquire greater personality and unique character. After its fermentation in the barrel, its fine lees are bathed for 5 months to obtain greater complexity and volume.

Attractive straw yellow color, with a greenish rim and lemony sparkles, clean and bright.
Complex, fruity, fragrant, with mineral notes and outstanding toast, well combined. Peppermint, eucalyptus, with floral hints and tropical fruit (pineapple, mango, passion fruit) in an intense aromatic set.
It is powerful, unctuous, broad, aromatic, with pleasant floral sensations that give freshness and length to the intense fruit aromas. Creamy notes of vanilla and fine pastry on a mineral and smoky background from the terroir and oak aging on its own fine lees. The finish is pleasant, round, long and very persistent.
Served very cold it is excellent as an aperitif. Ideal wine to sit at the table with fatty fish, fresh foie-gras, white meat, seafood and cheeses of all kinds. Cold sweet desserts and ice creams.
