2019 Solar de Samaniego Crianza DOC Rioja

2019 SOLAR DE SAMANIEGO CRIANZA, DOC RIOJA: Tempranillo: 14.0% VOL.

Solar de Samaniego Crianza is a wine framed in the DOCa. Rioja, with the personality and elegance that characterize the classic wines of this prestigious appellation, the oldest in Spain. Made at Bodegas Solar de Samaniego with 100% Tempranillo grapes from our estates in Rioja Alavesa, this single-varietal Crianza red wine represents the history and winemaking tradition of our wineries in Laguardia.

The fruits are vatted destemmed and with a floating cap in 33,600-litre tanks, with controlled fermentation temperatures and daily pump-overs to carry out the greatest extraction of aromatic compounds and colouring matter from the skin. After the relevant malolactic fermentation, it is aged in American oak barrels for 12 months, with racking every 6 months. It then goes to the bottle, where it finishes refining.

The result of this careful natural process is a Rioja red wine with an intense colour, with clean and sweet aromas and a resounding and balanced palate between fruit and wood.
