Harvested in October from vineyards of about 50 tears of age and located in the surroundings of the Ducal village and on the banks of the Arlanza river, a tributary of the Duero. After de-stemming the grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 25 degrees C. Following the first fermentation a second ‘malolactic’ fermentation occurs naturally after which the wine is transferred to French oak barrels where it remains for 12 months. The wine produced is dark and cherry red. The nose is complex and comprises black fruits and elegant wood. Notes of Cassis can be detected.
