Carefully selected, handpicked Pinot Noir grapes from the Traiser Rotenfels single vineyard site. Grapes are destemmed and fermented in open fermenters for three weeks. After a soft, gentle pressing the wines are filled into 300 litre oak barrels. There the wine will age for at least 12 months in the partly new barrels which is a most important part of the process to achieve a full and smooth Pinot Noir (Spatburgunder):
Riper and full with hints of black cherry and subtle tannins, the wine pairs well with fish, game and lamb as well as some heartier Mediterranean dishes.
